2014 was Words Players' fourth production of this timeless classic story: A celebrated community Christmas event and a Dickens Christmas Experience. Patrons arrived early to shop at the Dickens Market, interact with cast members and enjoy live music.
Sweet meats and savouries were served during each show by Kahler Events.
Friday nights included pre-show receptions at the theatre, with appetizers, craft beer sampling, & wine by Kahler Events, plus music and Dickens Market.
Saturday nights had an option for a pre-show Dickens dinner at the Lord Essex Tavern in the Kahler Grand Hotel with a mouth-watering menu:
Pumpkin Bisque with Cinnamon Crème Fraiche - or - Winter Greens, Dried Fruit, Raspberry Vinaigrette
Cornish Game Hen with cranberry port wine sauce and stuffed with wild rice
Paired with Chef Pasquale's house wine
