During this 8 week rehearsal schedule we'll play with Shakespeare's language -- the words, the rhymes, the songs, the poetry, the humor; read parts of plays; and do lots of improvisational acting to tell the stories. Students will perform a brief scene at three of our Shakespeare in the Park -- Twelfth Night -- performances in June (June 23 and 30 @ 2pm, June 26 @ 7pm).

SUMMER.

JUNE – JULY

One and two week performance camps that focus on the process of producing theatre through fun, creativity and ensemble building. The skills worked on will involve a great deal of physical movement. Please come prepared to move!

Students will explore many of the parts that go into making a theatre production come to life. Each WPT camp will culminate in a mini performance on the last day to give parents and friends a taste of the participants’ experience in the program. Students should bring lunch and a water bottle.

Camp staff include adults and students with extensive acting and teaching experience -- staff who look forward to sharing the excitement of live theatre with students and to furthering and encouraging interest in the stage.
